Business transformation: the challenge of accelerating and scaling at unprecedented speed
Share

For decades, in the corporate world we have talked about business transformation. In the last 10 years, the development of technologies and their corresponding digital impact have accelerated these changes exponentially. However, it is in the last 3 – 4 months that we have witnessed changes on an unprecedented magnitude.
As we navigate the pandemic with its global and particular effects in each country or region, thousands of business technical opinions and academic articles have been written about what will happen in business after COVID-19. However, time does not wait, so companies and their leaders in these conditions of uncertainty and ambiguity must continue to manage and lead a massive transformation that impacts everyone without distinction of industries, geographies or size.
The certainty we do have is that companies that can move quickly, transform, restructure and reinvent themselves will be the winners. Without a doubt, to better serve customers, improve products and services, increase collaboration across the organization as a whole, and increase results, your company may need to launch, accelerate, and/or scale its Transformation Programs.
We know that some will need to renovate industrial plants with greater digital capabilities. Others improve customer focus including greater personalization, accelerating the development of their products and services, developing ecosystems among other key initiatives.
At the same time, in our close work with clients on their Digital Transformation Programs over the years, we have also learned that as the transformation continues to expand there is no way to scale without certain key prerequisites. This requires solid internal capabilities, new operational models implemented, trained teams, flexible and reconfigurable organizations as well as organizations that are managed based on data. New technologies and ways of working are facilitators of all this, although they are not enough on their own.
The transformation and its inherent agility must be orchestrated and governed through the alignment of objectives and new operating models, which must allow these changes to be scaled sustainably over time, and thus be able to deliver the business value promised so many times.
Lastly, the use of technological platforms, the integration into ecosystems and the path of cloud migration They are key enablers that help accelerate this required change.
From Together Business Consulting, we are aware that our clients need to transform at an unprecedented speed. And we work hard to reinvent ourselves at every moment to face this incredible challenge.
